Thicker, Fuller, Longer! 😱

Image
Peace & Blessings Family, It is with great pleasure that I get to share my amazing hair growth; I can't contain myself!  I haven't blow dryed my hair like this in a while; it's been even longer since I've flat ironed my hair.  I've purposely avoided it to surprise myself. In May of 2017, my hair was professionally straightened and trimmed.  I was ecstatic with the progress then, and now I'm even more blown away. Being that I'm not a fan of straight hair, I searched for a way to obtain the curl I desired.  So a fter the queen trimmed my ends, I wrapped my hair around some flexirods.  But, I had no idea how it would look in the end, but anything was better than straight hair in my mind. Check out my journey, in this video. Revlon One Step Dryer The original plan this time around was to trim my hair after I blow dryed it, but as it got later I ended up placing the sections into Bant

My War With Greys

Greetings Family, I've been dealing with grey hair for the longest,😒but it's prevalent in one particular spot, dead smack in the front of my head!  I've been using my henna concoction for many years now, but unfortunately the greys seem to be winning.  So, I switched it up and added a bottle of semi permanent vegan burgundy dye to my henna mixture.  However, I did NOT know how it was going to turn out. But, would it last? My aloe vera conditioner mix was made from my very own aloe vera plant that my neighbor gave me a while back.  It started off as one and after losing one plant (my neighbor's children over watered it 🤦🏾‍♀️), but nevertheless she has sprouted into 4 plants.  I now have to r

Hello beautiful people, It's been 3+ years since I've blogged.  😩  Whew, time flies and waits for no one!!  However, during that time I've been working on myself, and mixing of course.  We're all aware that pictures serve as a great way to track the progress of various things. I've used this same model when it came to my weight loss journey as well; pictures are really worth a thousand words.  Both the above pictures were taken in July, the top was in 2017 and the bottom in 2020.  My hair is thicker and longer now; especially since I've trimmed my left front crown area. I don't do wash and go's too much unless I know I'm going swimming.  Then, it's wet, condition, and go.  Other than that, I do twist outs.  In a previous post, my twist out came out  Cute & Curly  but noticeably shorter than now.  My grays are still making appearances, and Henna is still my weapon of choice. After seeing a sister make a conditioner usi
